Wow! It’s been a minute since I last wrote a blog post. A lot has happened these last few months. From FINALLY getting vaccinated, to sending my kid back to overnight camp, to weekends back at the beach, and today, the first day of school, it really feels kinda normal again.

Let me first start with what’s happening today. My daughter, my only child, is starting high school today. 9th grade. Not sure how this happened. I mean I just dropped her off for her first day of preschool like a second ago, right? She’s so grown up, so mature…

Jewish Exponent Article: Building a Business During the Pandemic? For Some, It Works

Not gonna write a whole long schepel today, but I did just want to take a second to wish anyone who reads this a happy and HEALTHY Thanksgiving. Whether you are with extended family and friends or just with your immediate family this holiday, please know that YOU are in my thoughts. This year has been, by no means, an easy one. As people we want to be with and near other people. That’s been taken away from us this year and that’s a tough pill to swallow. But, now we really focus on a new year ahead. What will it look like? That has yet to be seen. My hope, and I’m sure others will join me in this last thought, is that it’s gotta be better than it was this last year. Stay positive, stay healthy and Happy Thanksgiving! XO — Adena

Comeback works like other online marketplace models. The items you want to sell DO NOT need to get shipped to Comeback. Everything is done at your home or workplace. Whether you are a seller or a buyer, each person must register themselves on the site with an email address and a password. When a seller has an item they want to sell, they click on the green button on the top right of the website that says “Sell Your Gear!” The seller fills out a form describing the item they want to sell, the size (if applicable), the color(s), the…

Today is Election Day. I am not a political person. But, today we choose who will live in the White House for the next four years. I am not here to start any political banter, but for me, this election is probably the most important one I have voted in since I could vote.

So whoever you are voting for today, Trump or Biden, just go and VOTE!

About 2 weeks ago, I told my daughter that she and I were going to have a Mother/Daughter Day on Sunday, October 24th. What she didn’t know was that a friend of hers from camp, who lives in Brooklyn, got in touch with me and asked if she could see my daughter. A plan to meet half way was organized with the mother of the friend. We will meet in New Hope, Pennsylvania at 1:00.

When the day arrived, my daughter had no idea what was happening and she did everything she could to break me down and spill what…

The waterfront at Camp Ramah in the Poconos

Covid-19. We hear the term multiple times, every day. This virus has caused an immense amount of heartache to livelihoods, milestone occasions, and just to life itself. Kids are learning from their bedrooms via a computer screen, parents are working from home, also via a computer screen and people who have never even thought about visiting a food pantry are going there, just to be sure that their families have food on the table. If someone would have told me 9 months ago that this was going to be the way life is in October 2020, I would not have…

I’m about 3 months into opening Comeback and it’s not at all what I thought it was going to be. Let’s be real for a second. You have, what you think is, an amazing idea. Something that people will be interested in and gravitate too. It’s user friendly, environmentally helpful and fun. Here’s the real part… things that you think and feel about something, be it a business or something else, other people don’t necessarily feel the same way. At least not yet.

Don’t get me wrong… I know that businesses don’t just magically take off overnight. A good business…

Ok, here it is. I’ve mentioned Comeback in my last two posts, and now I’m going to give you the 411 on what it is, how it came to be and how it works.

Comeback is a marketplace where people can buy and sell, preloved and new, camp, college and sports team gear. I’m gonna break it down for you. Think of it as a Poshmark or Mercari, but ONLY for things that have a name of a camp, college or sports team on them. Interesting idea, right? Let me tell you how it got started.

Back in the Spring…

So often, we come across websites that end up being our “go to” websites for things like buying clothing, where we learn how to apply makeup the correct way, or finding a recipe for dinner. What we rarely don’t know is, who are the masterminds behind these websites and how did they come up with the idea to create something that so many people depend on in their everyday lives? Well, I don’t want you to wonder who it is behind the Comeback website, so this blog entry is about ME.

My name is Adena. I am a wife and…
